•    Blind Discard – The name given to the discard that you are doing without knowing if your opponent is going to use the card. In most cases the first discards are the blind discards.

•    Block – When you withhold cards in order to not allow the opponents to extend melds.

•    Combination – 2 cards that are to become a set when you add a third card that is suitable.

•    Crack – The process of discarding a card that one of the opponents wants.

•    Dead Card – A card that is not available anymore due to the fact that it was either melded or placed in discard piles.

•    Deadwood – Cards you do not have matched in the hand you hold.

•    Deal – The process of distributing cards for players.

•    Dealer – The person that is handling the deal.

•    Discard – The process of placing one card in the discard pile. This move will end the turn of a player.

•    Discarded Pile – The group of cards that are discarded and have not been picked up.

•    Draw – The process of taking one card from the discard pile or from the stock.

•    Go Down (knock) – This happens when the play is ended by placing cards that remained in your hand on the table.

•    Go Out – The process of getting rid of the last of the cards that you have.

•    Group – A set that has the same value cards.

•    Natural Card – A card that is not a joker.

•    Off Card – A card that is not included in any combination, nor is it matched.

•    Rope – A synonym for sequence or run.

•    Safe Discard – The process of discarding a card that has a high probability that it will not be picked up.

•    Unload – When you discard a high card or a meld in order to reduce the possibility of losing big when another player wins.

•    Wild Card (Joker) – A card that you can use to replace any other card in a suit of your choosing.
